THE AUTHOR

Patrick Gillen labored over premedical courses while working in a hospital to pay his  tuition and found release and inspiration in Western fiction. A former Air Force flight nurse and aeromedical evacuation aircrew director who cared for 6,000+ patients. He also served as a nurse practitioner caring for hospital patients, many who were terminally ill.    He became a trained researcher and a sounding board to the dying and their families.  He used both to research the west and write stories, understanding life’s challenges with a never give up attitude.
